Kirsten Nelson
Town School's Administrative Assistant

Hi, my name is Kirsten Nelson. I was born and raised in Minnesota. After visiting a couple of times, and falling in love with Vermont's landscape and quality of life, I relocated in 2003. I currently reside in Sutton with my husband and our son. I enjoy running, mountain biking, hiking, skiing and all the outdoor glory Vermont has to offer, but most of all Vermont's sense of community that is second to none. This is my third school year at Burke Town School and every year my love for Burke and Vermont grows. I am lucky enough to meet nearly every face that walks through the door and I truly value the bonds I have formed with the staff, students, and the community.

Niki Rapkowicz
Administrative Assistant

My name is Niki Rapkowicz. I recently located to VT from MA and I am the new administrative assistant at the Burke Town School. I am excited to start this new journey, and especially excited to get to know the school community.  I am currently residing in Orleans with my husband, Jeremy and our dog, Bella. The three of us all enjoy being outside, hiking, and camping. Jeremy and I additionally are avid Boston sports fans!  I spent the past six years working for a behavioral health agency where I took pride in helping to support local families who have a child with behavioral, emotional, or mental health needs. I was privileged to work with the management staff for program development, but most importantly work 1-on-1 with some of these youths in a community setting. It was a job that was challenging but very rewarding! What drew me to VT is the wonderful experience I had completing my undergrad at St. Michael’s College. Between the school setting and playing soccer all four years, it was my first real feeling of a community. More recently, anytime I have visited friends in the NEK, I have also felt that same community feeling. I am proud to call it my new home.  In a professional setting, I am approachable, kind and caring. I love to use humor and joke around with others as a way to connect. I am a hard worker and I look forward to dedicating myself to my new position.  Feel free to approach me and introduce yourself anytime!
